Three Dwyer Academy of Finance first-year students, along with their teacher Mrs. Ferris and Foundation for Dwyer AOF President, Tonya Jennings attended the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce Business Before Hours breakfast with Dr. Donald Fennoy on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Marriott in Palm Beach Gardens.
The Academy of Finance participates monthly in these engaging events where students are able to meet local business professionals and hear from a keynote speaker. This month Dr. Fennoy spoke to the state of PBC schools and their “Ready, Set, GOAL!” initiatives for 2019-20.
Dr. Donald E. Fennoy is the 26th Superintendent of Schools for the “A” rated School District of Palm Beach County. The District is the 10th largest district in the country with a student enrollment of more than 193,000 students. The District is the largest employer in Palm Beach County with more than 23,000 employees.
Prior to his appointment as Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Fennoy served as the District’s Chief Operating Officer from May 2016 to March 2018. He graduated from Florida A&M University with a degree in Elementary Education. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Central Florida.
